I love all of their powers! It's great to see them use them! This is unlike any paranormal that you will read! In this second book you get to know these men better. Delve into their lives and their hearts.
This has everything a M/M book should be and a whole lot more!!!
I couldn't get enough. Ryker's Aquamate introduced the team of MYSTIC, but the Stolen Mate is even more indepth..Loved the interplay between Mates and Friends as it makes you feel invested in who and what they are..... The adventure and even the sci-fi aspect kept me on the edge of my seat so much so that I couldn't put the book down.
Sadly, as all good things you reach 'The End' and leaves you wanting the next book Now. I can't wait to see who's story is next and what adventure they go on.......Even more so, I can't wait to discover more about the whats and whys of this new world......
Looking for a grown and sexy version of those superheroes you knew and loved as a kid? Then Cree Storm’s MYSTIC series has what you are looking for. In The Stolen Mate, Matty is unsure what he can offer to the Director of MYSTIC. His father was a madman and now his crazy followers want Matty. Bram sees in Matty a submissive in need of a dominant and he is sure that he fits the bill. However in trying to give Matty time, he opens a chasm that may be too big to bridge. While the first story in this series focused more on the powers of the characters, this one is more emotional. Bram is use to controlling not only his life but those of the men who work with and for him. And in spite of the fact that a D’s relationship requires communication, Bram needs a refresher. He has forgotten the importance of listening. Can he convince Matty of his importance or has arbitrary decisions cost him the mate of his heart? Ms. Storm does a wonderful job of articulating the journey Bram and Matty must take in order to have a future together. It isn’t pretty and it isn’t easy but Ms. Storm made sure taking the journey was well worth it.
Five shooting Stars
I enjoyed the story and just like the first story the sex was off the hook and it followed well. But and I did say but in my heading, there was just a little too much male crying. As soon as one's partner got upset and angry with the other partner it's this whole thing about (oh he doesn't love me or want me anymore). Really? But, and yes another but, the story was pretty good.
